Stay of student from the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV) – Mario Ferrández2026-04-01
Mario Ferrández Sanía, a fourth-year student in the double degree program in Marine Sciences and Biotechnology at the Catholic University of Valencia, has recently begun a research stay in the Fish Nutrigenomics and Integrative Biology. Mario will carry out his internship and final degree project at IATS between March and June. His work will focus on the analysis and integration of environmental, zootechnical, and microbiota data through the use of advanced bioinformatics platforms and digital models. The aim is to understand how physicochemical variables, especially salinity and temperature, affect the physiology of gilthead sea bream, in order to address the challenges arising from climate change.
